During the Australasian Wire Industry Association (AWIA) Conference in Sydney in May, Ray Otter was presented a Life Membership for his enormous contribution to the Fencing industry and his dedicated service to the Wire Association over 40 years.
Ray was involved at the very beginning when several leading Fencing Companies got together with the Chamber of Manufacturers to commence with the very first version of the Australian Fencing Standards, which were published in 1975.
The first revision of AS1725 was headed up by Ray as the Chairman of the Standards Committee, which was completed in 2003.
AS1725 was again updated in 2010, where AS1725 grew into 5 separate sections, which Ray again held the position as Chairman of the Standards Committee
Otter Fencing would like to give a hearty congratulations to Ray Otter for everything he has done for the Company and the Industry as a whole!
