Otter Fencing recently installed a section of a chain-link fencing inside a function room at RSEA Park (Home of the St Kilda Football Club), known as the “Animal Enclosure”.

As a member of a Saints coterie group known as the “True Believers” Glenn Otter was approached by the club to install the fence display to pay tribute to one part of the Club’s history. As a long-suffering Saints member, Glenn agreed to install the fence display without charge, utilizing second hand materials to make the fence look more original and authentic.

The chain-link fence represents the “Animal Enclosure” at Linton Street which it was known and was made famous by fanatical Saints fans that religiously occupied the terraces between the St. Kilda players race and the umpires race at every home game.

With the St Kilda faithful in full voice and unleashing verbal hell on the opposition, it was not a place for the faint hearted.

“THE ANIMAL ENCLOSURE
WAS INFAMOUS FOR ALL
THE RIGHT REASONS…THERE
WAS NOTHING LIKE MOORABBIN
– YOU COULD JUST SENCE THE
ATMOSPHERE OF THE PLACE.”
