Otter Fencing was proud to deliver a custom sports fencing solution for the Blackburn Baseball Club's new batting cages in Vermont South. Designed to provide a safe and durable training environment, this project required extensive structural planning due to the challenging site conditions. With the entire batting cage positioned partway down a steep hillside, our team engineered and installed a robust steel framework capable of withstanding both the terrain and the demands of a high-use sporting facility.
To ensure exceptional strength and longevity, the majority of the structure was built using twin truss posts, providing the additional support required for the sloping landscape. The batting cages were enclosed using premium heavy-duty Black Fusion Bonded Chain-link fabric, offering enhanced durability and resistance to wear compared to traditional galvanised fabric.
This project stands out as one of our favourite installations due to its complexity and unique engineering requirements. Successfully constructing a large-scale batting cage on a steep incline required careful planning, precision fabrication, and expert installation. The finished result is a strong, long-lasting facility that will support the Blackburn Baseball Club for many years to come.
