Vehicle access double gates. Chain-link Gates are made to suit opening widths, i.e. between gate posts. The actual width of each leaf of a nominal 4000mm wide opening double gates is 1973mm.

Top & Bottom Rail
Gates to suit fences with Top & Bottom Rail have full height chain-link fabric fitted so the gates aligns with the Top & Bottom Rails of the fence.

Rail-less (Bracing Rails Only)
Gates to suit Rail-less fences (Bracing Rails Only) have the height of the chain-link fabric reduced by 1 no. diamond (82mm) so the gates aligns with the Top of the fence and sufficient clearance underneath the fence.

Measuring Gate Heights
Gate heights listed are nominal and are based on the height of the chain-link fabric. To arrive at the overall height of the gate, the pipe frame and pipe barbed wire extensions, where applicable need to be added.

Fabric Wire

• 2.50mm dia. (Light-Duty) commonly used for Temporary Fencing & Residential Applications.
• 3.15mm dia. (Heavy-Duty) recommended for permanent & high impact applications such as; Schools, Security & Sporting fields & enclosures.

NB: Chain-link fabric made from 3.15mm dia. heavy-duty wire has 40% more resistance to impact damage, which translates into a longer life span, compared to chain-link fabric made from 2.50mm light-duty wire.

Knuckled Knuckled (KK) Selvedge
Chain-link fabric Gates with Knuckled Knuckled (KK) selvedge have the ends of the wire bent back to form a smooth knuckled finish at the top & bottom. The Chain-link fabric is secured neatly to the inside of the top & bottom pipe gate frames with lacing wire.

Knuckled Barbed (KB) Selvedge
Chain-link fabric Gates with Knuckled Barbed (KB) selvedge have the ends of the wire bent back to form a smooth knuckled finish at the bottom and twisted into a Barbed finish at the top for added security. The Chain-link fabric is secured neatly to the inside of the pipe gate frame at the bottom and past the top of the pipe gate frame at the top with lacing wire.
