Otter Fencing has supplied and installed a new 3-bay cricket net practice facility at Carlson Recreation Reserve in Clayton, working alongside synthetic turf specialists Smart Grass.
The fully enclosed nets are built on a black powder-coated steel pipe frame, with black PVC-coated chain-link fabric to the walls and overhead netting across the roof to keep every ball inside the bays.
Inside, each lane is lined with black protective panels along the lower section of the walls, finished over Smart Grass's new synthetic pitches for a clean, professional look.
The project also included additional black PVC chain-link fencing and gates around the Melbourne Water facility, including a secure equipment compound with a lockable double gate for bowling machines and rollers, and a double vehicle access gate for maintenance.
Built to Australian Standards using quality Australian-made materials, the new facility gives local clubs a safe, durable training space for years to come.
